No car is truly perfect, and maybe one never will be. Every car has its limits. But some cars come very close, and the Audi RS 6 Avant is one of them.
Why Talk About the Audi RS 6 Avant?
This time, a tuned Audi RS 6 Avant was upgraded by a well-known and sometimes controversial tuner: DarwinPro Aero.
Instead of making the car look silly, they made a project that looks good enough for a poster on your bedroom wall.
What Mods Were Done by DarwinPro Aero?
DarwinPro Aero didn't explain all the details about their tuned Audi RS 6 Avant. But many updates are clear:
- Front Bumper: A new bumper that looks like the original but has a new lower air intake and extra side parts.
- Hood: A vented hood design for a sportier look.
- Side Skirts: Chunky add-ons along the sides.
- Mirror Caps: Seem to stay original.
- Rear Bumper and Diffuser: The bumper seems stock, but the diffuser is new. It has many fins, a brake light in the center, and spaces for dual oval exhaust tips (a classic RS feature).
- Spoilers: Two new aftermarket spoilers were added to the tailgate, which also got new emblems.
Wheels, Tires, and Storage
We're not wheel experts, but the Y-spoke alloy wheels look like aftermarket parts. They are wrapped in sticky Michelin tires at all four corners.
To make the car even more useful, a roof box was added. Now, there's even more space for your luggage — perfect for weekend trips or long-road adventures.
The whole car is finished in black, with the body kit parts showing a carbon fiber look for extra style points.
What About the Engine?
DarwinPro Aero didn't discuss engine changes for this Audi RS 6 Avant. But even in stock form, the Audi RS 6 Avant Performance is very powerful:
- 621 horsepower (630 ps/463 kW)
- 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque
- Powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8
- Sends power to all wheels via quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed gearbox
- 0–60 mph (97 kph) takes just 3.3 seconds
- Top speed is 155 mph (250 kph) (electronically limited)
How Much Does It Cost?
The 2024 Audi RS 6 Avant Performance starts at $125,800 MSRP in the U.S.
As for the custom parts from DarwinPro Aero, they didn't list the prices. They encourage anyone interested to contact them directly.
