Lamborghini Urus Gets Striking 1016 Industries Upgrade

Widebody Lamborghini Urus by RDB LA

Can you remember how many customized Lamborghini Urus models you've seen over the years? Don't worry if you can't. The Urus came out in 2017; almost everyone has received aftermarket upgrades.

Every famous tuner has parts ready for this Italian super SUV. These parts range from body kits to suspension and brake upgrades, custom wheels, reupholstered interiors, louder exhaust systems, and even engine tweaks.

Does the Urus Even Need Upgrades?

Honestly, the Urus doesn't need any upgrades. It's already a flashy and stylish ride that hides its Volkswagen Touareg roots very well. The Urus shares its platform with several other cars, like the Audi Q7 and Q8, Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe, and Bentley Bentayga.

Even with all that shared DNA, the Urus is the most agile. The SUV also pushed Ferrari (and others) to create their high-performance crossovers.

Another Modified Urus Joins the Club

Speaking of tuned Urus models, there's a new one to add to the list. Shared by 1016 Industries and modified by RDB LA, this Urus has a custom body kit and a few other touches that make it stand out even more.

What Makes This Lamborghini Urus Special?

This Urus now wears a custom widebody kit. It has bold side skirts and front bumper pieces that still follow the original design. It also features a new hood with a vented design for a sportier look.

At the back, there's a new, more aggressive diffuser. On the tailgate, it sports a ducktail spoiler right above the taillights and a large wing higher up. These changes make the rear view even more exciting.

A Bold Wheel Design

Usually, Y-spoke wheels look best on modern Lamborghini. But this time, the Urus rides on a different set. These wheels are inspired by the classic Countach, featuring a deep concave design and a sleek black finish. They match the new styling perfectly.

The black accents from the wheels and body parts create a striking contrast with the Urus's bright white paint, making it look even more powerful and aggressive.

What About Performance?

Sadly, the social media post doesn't share any details about engine upgrades. But honestly, the Lamborghini Urus is already incredibly fast. It doesn't matter if you're looking at the pre-facelift model or the newer ones, like the Urus S and Performante.

Looking ahead, Lamborghini plans to add a plug-in hybrid Urus in 2024. Some rumors even say this hybrid might replace the regular gas-powered versions. But we'll have to wait and see if that happens.
