Even though the BMW XM has been around for over a year, not many tuners have made aftermarket parts. This could be because of its controversial design. Let's be honest — the BMW XM doesn't look very tuner-friendly.
While most big tuning companies stayed away, Mansory saw the BMW XM as challenging. And why not? Mansory is famous for giving wild makeovers to some of the world’s most expensive cars, like Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and even Bugattis.
You might think a Mansory BMW XM would look over-the-top, but sometimes two negatives make a positive. The XM's strange looks and Mansory's bold style made the SUV look better. We must credit Mansory — they made something interesting from a tough project.
Custom Body Kit and New Design Details
This BMW XM by Mansory was built on special request and is the first to get this custom body kit.
The front bumper is still the original one, but it now has extra parts around the vents and a new apron piece at the bottom. Mansory also changed the grille surround and installed a new hood that looks more aggressive than the standard one.
Looking toward the back, you’ll spot new trim on the wheel arches that make the SUV wider than stock. Mansory also added matching parts to the side skirts and lower parts of the doors. The side mirror covers are aftermarket pieces too.
At the rear, Mansory kept the XM's stacked exhaust pipes but added a new, sportier diffuser. They also mounted a spoiler on the tailgate and a big wing on the roof for an even bolder look.
Forged Carbon Parts and Chrome Delete Package
As expected from Mansory, all the new parts have a forged carbon fiber style. This gives a nice contrast to the green exterior paint (or wrap) of the BMW XM.
There’s also a chrome-delete package and smaller details you can spot when looking closely at pictures.
The SUV rides on larger Y-spoke wheels that are darker than the factory ones, adding to the tough new style.
Suspension and Powertrain Stay Stock
From what we can see, the ground clearance looks the same. This means Mansory didn’t change the suspension.
Also, since there is no mention of engine upgrades, we assume the BMW XM still has its stock powertrain under the hood.
So, what do you think about this Mansory BMW XM makeover? Did they make it look better?
