Brabus showed off its new high-performance SUV—the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition—at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show.
This limited-edition luxury SUV is based on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63, and only 24 cars will be made.
Each one costs about $450,000 before taxes and shipping. It is the fastest legal SUV you can drive on public roads.
Brabus Boosts Engine Power to 900 HP
Brabus increased the engine size from 4.0 liters to 4.2 liters.
The Brabus 900 Rocket now has an incredible 900 horsepower and 1,250 Nm of torque.
This powerful SUV can go from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds.
Its top speed is 330 km/h (205 mph).
Advanced Fuel System and Bigger Turbochargers
To give the SUV this much power, Brabus added:
- Two high-pressure fuel pumps with higher delivery rates
- One extra boost pump
- Two upgraded turbochargers with bigger compressor units
- Reinforced core parts for better durability
These upgrades make the engine stronger and more reliable at high speeds.
Carbon Fiber Body Parts and Aero Features
The Brabus Rocket Edition comes with carbon fiber body parts, which are light but very strong.
It also has:
- A chin spoiler to reduce lift at high speeds
- Air intakes with a special "Rocket" logo
- Carbon trim for the side air vents
- A rear diffuser that shows off the high-performance exhaust system
- A three-piece rear spoiler for better stability
24-Inch Alloy Wheels with High-Performance Tires
Brabus offers wheels in 21, 22, 23, and 24 inches.
The 900 Rocket Edition comes with:
- 24-inch Monoblock Z "Platinum Edition" wheels
- Exposed carbon aero-discs
- Front tires: 295/30 ZR24
- Rear tires: 355/25 ZR24
These big wheels give the SUV a strong and sporty look.
Luxury Interior with Leather and Carbon Fiber
Inside, the Brabus 900 Rocket is just as fancy as the outside. It includes:
- Mastik leather seats
- Alcantara material in any color you want
- Wood and carbon fiber trim in many colors and finishes
- A gray interior that matches the "Superior Gray" exterior
Price and Availability
Before taxes and shipping, the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition starts at €381,243 (about $450,000).
Only 24 units will be built, making it one of the rarest and most expensive Mercedes GLEs ever made.
